Director of Sports Medicine

Dr Ford has been in practice for over 27yrs. His journey began as an athlete growing up in north Texas. He has always enjoyed sports and gets to continue that passion by helping athletes be their best! His experience as the chiropractor for New England Patriots, Dallas Cowboys, New Orlean Saints, Atlanta Falcons, Houston Texans, Dallas Stars, FC Dallas, U.S. Olympic team, USA Bobsled and Skeleton, Baylor University, and numerous other teams has earned him as the doctor “where the pro’s go”. He attended Baylor University for undergrad and Parker University for his doctorate of Chiropractic Medicine, and Northwestern Health and Science Center for his Sports Medicine Specialty.
“I have been blessed with the unique opportunity to work on a wide variety of people. From non-athletes to amateur, elite, and professional athletes. Due to my expertise in everyday well-being, along with sports performance and injury analysis, I have gained the respect and confidence of athletes, coaches and trainers alike.
I am focused on a speedy recovery and injury prevention through addressing the entire body as a whole. This is what all our top athletes expect and it is what we provide for ALL our patients. My approach is not to replace conventional medicine but incorporate the two for the benefit of our patients.”

Dr. Adam Parsons, MD

Medical Doctor

Dr. Adam Parsons was born in Dallas, Texas where he spent his entire educational career. He was a competitive multi-sport athlete, and after High School he competed in varsity football at Texas Tech University, where he excelled in his studies. Earning a 4.0 GPA in the sciences, and regularly appearing on the Dean’s List, Dr. Parsons majored in Biology, with a minor in Chemistry and Spanish. He graduated with honors in 2008, and was admitted into medical school at the University of Texas in Houston, where he completed his Internal Medicine residency in 2015.
Following completion of his medical training, Dr. Parsons returned to Fort Worth to undergo a one year Fellowship in sports medicine and interventional pain management. He has since tailored his practice to focus on lifestyle and wellness, encouraging his patients to focus on physical, mental, and spiritual wellness in order to live life to its fullest potential. He takes pride in developing strong relationships with his patients, and makes every effort to make sure his patients understand and agree with his plan of care.
After 10 years in practice, Dr. Parsons has furthered his training in the scope of Functional and Regenerative medicine. Utilizing a blend of traditional and non-traditional treatment modalities unique to each patient, he strives to help patients achieve their full potential with regards to living long and living well. His unique blend of experience and passion ensure that each patient receives a treatment protocol distinct to their individual needs.

Dawn Renee Dodd, APRN, FNP-C

Nurse Practitioner

Originally from the emerald coast of Florida, Renee moved with her husband to North Texas 17 years ago by way of Atlanta, GA. She has over 25 years of experience as a nurse and she is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with a wide variety of interests. She has a love of learning, a passion for teaching and a primary goal of offering patient centered care. She works with her peers and mentors as well as the patient to create and develop plans of care that integrate modern medicine, current evidence and alternative approaches to managing health, wellness and disease processes.
Her formal education includes:
University of South Alabama (Mobile, AL)- Bachelor of Science in Nursing, 1996
University of Texas at Arlington (Arlington, TX)-MSN, Family Nurse Practitioner, 2020
Renee has worked in healthcare since 1996 in a variety of specialties including Medical/Surgical, Infectious Disease and Labor and Delivery in both in-patient and out-patient settings. She is a member of the American Nurses Association, Texas Nurses Association and recently became a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She enjoys teaching and has been both a patient and staff educator as well as a preceptor for nursing students over the years. She hopes to continue helping NP/PA students in precepting as Model Wellness continues to grow.
Renee resides in Keller with her husband and 2 teenage boys. In her spare time she enjoys playing with her 6 year old yellow lab, family ski trips, catching up with friends over YUMMY breakfasts, listening to medical and mystery podcasts, and has recently started volunteering at her local church.

Mark Hsu, DC

Chiropractor

Dr. Mark Hsu, DC grew up in DFW, Texas and attended Austin College in Sherman, Texas where he graduated with a BA majoring in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. Mark then pursued neuromusculoskeletal medicine and graduated from Parker University with a massage therapy certificate in 2016 as well as his Doctorate in Chiropractic in 2021. During his spare time, Mark enjoys learning new techniques for patients to achieve normality or a sense of better functionality and especially the outdoors by participating in obstacle course racing, triathlons, and ultramarathons. His next goal is an Ironman!

Sue Simpson

Massage Therapist

Licensed massage therapist, Sue Simpson has provided massage therapy to the Dallas-Fort Worth community for over thirty years. She graduated from the Asten Center of Natural Therapeutics in 1989 and promptly stepped into established practice, the Health Improvement Center in Denton. Inspired to further her education, Simpson went on to study cranio-sacral therapy, prenatal massage, and polarity therapy. During these early years, she established working relationships with chiropractors and dentists, realizing that her experience and knowledge in these specialty areas would help her prosper as this emerging industry gained popularity.
Having taken a break from her career in 1993 to devote her time and energy to being a mother, Simpson returned to work alongside Josh Stroud at Jay’s Personalized Training in Fort Worth in 1997. In 1999 Simpson returned to Dallas to open her own business, Healing Hands Therapeutic Massage. In 2002 she expanded her practice by becoming an owner and working therapist in the established salon, Salon L, in north Dallas.
Simpson has over three decades’ experience in this still exciting and expanding field. To date, her diverse clientele, many of whom she also considers friends, have surpassed even her own expectations. Simpson is welcoming the future here at Model Wellness, and she welcomes you too. As she says, “we are all unique to this universe. There will never be another you. There too, will never be another Sue!”
